Sourcing and verification

Every news article is based on at least two independent sources, listed at the bottom of the story. We verify factual claims before publishing; if a story cannot be verified from at least two independent sources, we do not publish it. We aggregate facts from multiple outlets and write original text — we do not reproduce other publications' work.

Fact and opinion

News articles are fact-first. Analysis is clearly separated from reporting, and claims are attributed to those who make them. The paper's own judgments appear only in the Opinion section, where they are labeled as such.

Political coverage

Political stories are held to a stricter standard: neutral tone, attributed claims, and the major perspectives represented — including the government's stated position alongside its critics'.

How this newspaper is produced

The Tunisian Times is produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence under human editorial direction and review. AI assists with research, drafting, and translation; responsibility for what is published rests with the human publisher. We never invent quotes, statistics, or events, and we do not use bylines implying human reporters who do not exist.
